Garnacha Petit Verdot and Merlot, aged 7 months in French and American oak The red wine is impressively good at the price. because Pago del Vicario’s winemaker has had Peter Sisseck (Pingus) himself as a teacher! A soft and powerful red wine with lots of delicious sun-ripened fruit and spicy notes. Recommended for fans of full Spanish, southern Italian and California red wines like zinfandel. The wine is made from grenache, petit verdot and merlot. Medium deep ruby red in the glass. Delightfully powerful nose, where full-ripe red and black berry notes play beautifully with cedar, tobacco, pepper, licorice, sweats and hook-ripened meat. In the mouth, the wine has plenty of warm and sunny base fruit, but also food-friendly counter-acidity and pleasantly rasping tannin. Delicious prune-licorice finish. The wine is ready to drink already (Nov. 2017), but can safely be stored for another couple of years. (15% alcohol)
