Santa Rita Medalla Real has a very deep purple ink color. The nose is rich and full of dark blue fruit like blueberries, blackberries, dried figs and some soft spice notes. The wine has a sweet attack and a rich mid palate. The mouth has intense rounded ripe tannins that create the prominent backbone that leads the wine into a long creamy dark fruit finish.

A fresh and balanced cabernet that has good poise. Some fresh herbs, spices, some plums and fresh currants. Juicy and bright on the palate with a nice peppery twist. Nothing ambitious here, but very poised and drinkable. A more classic vintage that has the vibrancy. Drink now.

Bold, this is brimming with roasted espresso bean and spiced blackberry pastry notes up front, which fold over onto the rich palate. Reveals plum and toasted herb accents, finishing with nice length and round tannins. Drink now.
